Month: July 2009

  • We have come to the conclusion that it is time for the Energizer Bunny to retire, we have found its replacement... Jaiden!  She has energy that just will not stop!  And she outlasts her parents!

Wednesday Brian was off, and spent the day with her.  This is what she did:

    • Met grandpa for breakfast
    • Went with daddy and grandpa to go see "Doogal" (It was playing free at the local movie theater)
    • Rode the Trolley to Petco Park to watch a Padre Game
    • Rode the Trolley back towards home
    • Took a power nap while daddy crashed on the sofa
    • Mommy came home, so it was time to go out again
    • Went to Sonic Drive-In for dinner (Jaiden climbed all over the inside of the Expedition while we were there)
    • Saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at the Drive-In, again, climbed all over the inside of the Expedition and didn't go to sleep until after 10:30 (BTW, Brian and I were both disappointed with the movie)
    • Woke up when we got home and then refused to go back to sleep.  Finally fell asleep in the bed with mommy and daddy around 11:45

Thursday I took the day off, so it was a nice family day.  Here is what we did:

    • Got to JW Tumbles at 9 am, played for 45 minutes with other children her age
    • Went to Pacific Beach and had Breakfast at Konos (long line, but yummy food!)
    • Went to Mission Beach to play at Belmont Park.  Rode the Carousel twice, the motor boats with mommy, won two huge inflatable toys (purple monkey and a blue unicorn) by picking the correct duck at the carnival games, ate a giant snow cone, and walked around the beach area carrying her two giant prizes.
    • Power nap back at home
    • Fun dinner at the Corvette Diner, where she was flirting with the DJ
    • 7pm showing of the Wiggles at the Civic Theater (it was 80 minutes long, about 40 minutes too long for her).
    • Although she slept in the car, she woke up as soon as we tried to put her to bed.  Had to be rocked to sleep by mom.

I was off again today, but kept it more low key.  I just don't have the energy, and I was by myself with her.

    • JW Tumbles at 9 am, played for 45 minutes with other children her age
    • Came home and spent some time with daddy before he went to work, then played around the house
    • Shopping at Babies-R-Us, already bought her Halloween Costume (or she may wear it at Disneyland).  She liked it so much, she refused to let the checker scan it.  The checker finally had to get the extended scanner.
    • Lunch with my grandmother
    • Best Buy so mommy could get a new Digital Camera (love it!)
    • Fell asleep in the car on the way home.
    • Woke up as soon as mommy placed her in the crib... finally took a nap 90 minutes later.  Mom also took a nap!
    • Cuddle time when she woke up, then errands, dinner, and final morning routine.

Tomorrow it is JW Tumbles again, and some time with family.

I would have pictures posted, but my camera wasn't working right.  I had ordered a new one from Ritzcamera.com, but it was on back order.  I wanted to wait, as it had no cost for shipping or tax.  But they had no idea how long it will be on back order.  So, I finally broke down and got a new one today.  I would have gone on Wednesday, but Brian thought you couldn't take any pictures at the Wiggles show.  Um, you could.  They even announced it, saying parents could take as many videos and pictures as they wanted.  Oh well.  At least we have the camera in time for our big trip to Disneyland.

Yup, it is official... we will be going to Disneyland 8/18-8/20.  Brian even got the time off approved!  Yeah!  Tomorrow I am going to AAA to book everything.  We are so excited about it.  Don't worry, there will be TONS of pictures then!

  • I know I am way overdue for a post.  But I am going to take a nap instead.  Maybe I will write a post tonight, with pictures...  We will see.

    EDIT:

OK, protected post up... with pictures!
